Žagar are a five piece psychedelic electronica band based in Budapest that are turning heads across the globe with their forward thinking sound design, catchy melodies and multi sensory live shows. After recently giving away to fans their latest single, ‘Space Medusa’, as a free download the band are preparing the release of their second album ‘Light Leaks’ - 29th April. Part of the burgeoning eastern European electronic scene, Žagar create a fresh and unique sound based on wave rock, electronica and psychedelic soundscapes. The Hungarian band started out as three-fifths of the Yonderboi Quintet and after a few years and some critical success, keyboard player Balázs Zságer (Žagar’s namesake) and scratcher Dj Bootsie splintered off to form their own sound, exploring more experimental avenues in their music. They eventually added drummer Tibor Lázár, guitarist George Ligeti and bassist Ákos Zságer-Varga to complete the band and are now a hugely significant force on the Eastern European music scene. The talented band have already achieved strong critical acclaim, their last album ‘Cannot Walk, Fly Instead’, released worldwide on German label Mole Listening Pearls was nominated twice for the regional award at the MTV Europe Music Awards and entered the Top Ten in the music charts. The album won numerous awards, including the prestigious Hungarian Record Industry’s Fonogram Award and hit single, ‘Wings of Love’ featuring Underground Divas, earned heavy radio play and secured the Number One spot for MTV’s Video Chart. The band went on to accept second place in the Independent Songwriting Competition in the same year. Žagar are also attracting fans overseas, their music has been sampled in both short and feature films, and was included in the soundtrack for popular American TV dramas, CSI:Miami and CSI:New York, reaching millions of viewers worldwide. The band have so far played extensively over Europe including supporting Depeche Mode on their Budapest leg of their ‘Tour of the Universe’. Highly praised for their electrifying live sets, in which they consistently create an atmospheric and unforgettable live experience. While preparing for the album, Žagar teamed up with the highly respected Bang & Olufsen to create a unique Facebook app in which fans could decode the first single from the album, Space Medusa’. The lyrics and sonic textures weave a narrative through the album about, “inner conflicts between the rational down-to-earth mind and its restless, dreamy, other half” – Žagar. The likeable Italian Chris Venola began his musical journey in the mid 90s. Starting with and inspired by the piano, he began his career in 2005 under the pseudonym Silentalk, when he remixed the French band Curl. Over the years, numerous EPs and remixes were released on various international labels, now Chris is working with Circle Music. Here he was given the opportunity to express his love for music even stronger and to release with “Sixteen Miles” a successful tech-house debut on that German imprint. The album is opened by the relaxed track “I'll Be There”, which was created in collaboration with Andrea Introvigne & Kira. Slowly building up and providing the vocals of Tania Furia, the breakbeat track “Break U” follows, this lightweight touch of Berlin elektro sound can also be found in the track “Stars”. Actually, the whole album is very diverse in sound. Besides relaxing deephouse tracks like “Illusion” or “You”, there are also some tech-house tracks with a lot of drive like “Mountague Mastermind” right next to melodic house tunes such as “Everytime”. The album is not boring or unbalanced at any time. All tracks have been arranged with passion, refined with vocals and produced with unique emotional and still clubby sounds and grooves. An important role in the production has also been played by his studio partners such as Frank Lee, Vinny Samuels or indeed Tania Furia, Andrea Introvigne or Kira, since with the help of their voices and ideas, they gave the album tracks a strong song-character without loosing the focus on the dancefloor. Chris uses the music as an expression of freedom. With “Sixteen Miles” he now presents a real club-grade release on Circle Music, that also marks the start of a new chapter in the work of Chris Venola.

Pino Shamlou moved to Germany in 1984. Already in the beginning of 2000 he signed music to some well known labels like Mole
 Listening Pearls, Auris or STIR15. But his restless soul made him rather traveling and took him to all four corners across the globe instead of sitting in dark studio rooms.
Now in 2012 he returns with his debut album "dedicated" on the highly acclaimed label "Mole Listening Pearls" and delivers a masterpiece of art documenting his extraordinary story.
Opening up with the smooth and atmospheric tune "A lovely trick" ,Pino takes you to a journey to all corners of the chill musical spectrum.Untold percussive depth with an accomplished blend of contemporary deepness. moodorama submits their sixth studio album called SIX. Six years after their last album "My Name Is Madness," the album's title means, quite banal numbering. The side effect is that SIX sounds good and is very catchy. moodorama wanted any kind of "artificiality" in their new work refrain. With "Wondering Why” SIX opens with a wonderful sunny pop tune. The fact is that moodorama previously produced a pop album with another artist, and therefore a kind of Popmodus has rubbed off inevitably some songs on the new album. With almost six years of production, moodorama have noticeable left a lot of time, which they explained: "We let our creativity flow. For so many years Dejan Milicevic has been on the scene,started dj-ing at the age of just fifteen and rolling for around seventeen years now. Since the 90s, the International DJ scene developed into an institution on the island. One of them is in Ohm-G. Olaf Gutbrot lived for 10 years on the island as a composer, producer and DJ, above all as a resident in one of the most beautiful places on Ibiza, Atzaro. His Chill Out Sound ohm-G has placed on many famous compilations like Cafe del Mar or Hotel Costes. But even his own series Atzaro soundscapes that goes this year for the fourth year in a row, next to the DJ has his own albums on the island and became internationally known. In 2009 he founded the Produzentenschmiede to work tohether with young artists like Xarah van Tara who is a young artist on the rise straight from 311, the small smoking room of U60311 who co-produced one of the tracks on „Zustandgeber“, the 3rd Lonplayer of Eternal Basement. The diversity of tracks on „Zustandgeber“ ist absolutely breathtaking. Everytime a track begins this isn't the conclusion of it like in many other productions at the time. It seems like the tracks are developing themselves. Every minute another mask falls showing the next membrane, the next and new impression of these little breathing organisms. Between techno beats, trance, house and tribal elements everything seems possible to create a new, a better, a more manyfold picture of sounds and stories. Every track on this album stands for itself and, at the same time, is part of the productions surrounding it. This is a really perfect release with a lot of potential to get one of the most thilling releases of the year.
